Terms & Conditions for Guests

General Terms

By creating an account or making a reservation through Hostmandu Homes, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Hostmandu Homes is an online booking marketplace that connects guests with property owners and accommodation providers throughout Nepal.
Hostmandu Homes acts solely as a booking facilitator and is not the owner, operator, landlord, or manager of listed properties unless expressly stated.
These Terms apply to all guests using the platform.

Guest Terms

Guests must provide accurate personal information and valid government-issued identification when requested.
Guests agree to comply with all house rules established by the Property Owner.
Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning costs caused during their stay.
Guests must not engage in illegal activities, disturb neighbors, or misuse the property.
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings throughout their stay.

Booking Confirmation

A reservation is confirmed only after the required advance payment or full payment has been successfully received and confirmed by Hostmandu Homes.
Booking confirmations will be sent via Email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
Hostmandu Homes reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking suspected of fraud, unauthorized payment, or violation of these Terms.

Payment Policy

Payment may be collected as full payment or partial advance payment, depending on the property's booking policy.
Accepted payment methods include Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card, QR Payment, Online Payment Gateway, and Cash (where applicable).
Failure to complete payment within the specified time may result in automatic cancellation of the reservation.
All applicable taxes, service charges, and additional fees will be displayed before booking confirmation whenever applicable.

Advance Payment Policy

The advance payment paid to confirm a booking is non-refundable, except where the cancellation is made by the Property Owner or Hostmandu Homes.
If the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the advance payment shall be forfeited and will not be refunded, unless the property's cancellation policy specifically allows a refund.
If the Property Owner cancels a confirmed reservation for reasons within their control, the Guest shall receive a 100% refund of all amounts paid, including the advance payment.
If Hostmandu Homes cancels a booking due to the Property Owner's inability to provide the reserved accommodation, Hostmandu Homes will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative property of similar standard and price. If no suitable alternative is accepted, the Guest will receive a full refund.

Cancellation Policy

Each property may have its own cancellation policy, which will be displayed before booking confirmation.
Flexible, Moderate, and Strict cancellation policies may apply depending on the property selected.
Guests who fail to arrive without prior notice ('No-Show') may be charged up to the full booking amount.
Refund processing times depend on the payment provider and may take several business days.

Security Deposit

Some properties require a refundable security deposit before check-in.
Security deposits may be used to cover damages, missing items, excessive cleaning, or unpaid charges.
Any unused balance will be refunded after inspection, subject to the property's policy.

Check-in & Check-out

Guests must comply with the property's published check-in and check-out times.
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Reviews

Guests may submit reviews only after completing their stay.
Reviews must be truthful, respectful, and based on genuine experiences.
Hostmandu Homes reserves the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or unrelated to the stay.

Liability

Hostmandu Homes provides an online booking platform only.
Property Owners remain solely responsible for the condition, safety, legality, and operation of their accommodations.
Hostmandu Homes shall not be liable for disputes, property defects, theft, accidents, personal injury, service interruptions, or losses arising from a guest's stay.

Privacy

Hostmandu Homes collects and processes personal information solely for booking management, customer support, payment processing, legal compliance, and service improvement.
User information will be protected in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Suspension & Termination

Hostmandu Homes may suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms & Conditions.
Fraudulent bookings, false information, repeated no-shows, payment abuse, or misuse of the platform may result in immediate removal without prior notice.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Nepal.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
